Back from the US
Well it's been a crazy month, the week in Las Vegas was an amazing experience. It was a little intimidating coming through immigration into the USA with the huge lines and the forms to fill in. It's a bit weird having your finger prints recorded which is what they do to EVERYONE coming in.
I was relived to step into the 40 degree Celcius heat after the cold summer in London as it felt like a hot summer in Adelaide. I much prefer the 30's but after so much cold the heat was welcomed. We made our way to the hotel and proceded to check into our hotel. A few of us walked to the nearest shops and I bought a 4 gallon bottle of water for the hot week.
The time difference was about 8 hours ahead so I'd been awake for something like 22 hrs and was getting rather tired. I had decided the way to beat the jet lag is to stay up until night time in the new time zone and force your body to switch so I needed to stay awake. The whole team from work went out to dinner at the Hard Rock Hotel's Restaurant. Funny place, not really rock to me as the staff all got up and danced to YMCA and other old more disco tunes.
