Snow!!
Well the last week was very exciting for me, yes I have never seen snow before but I've grown up in South Australia and don't get out much. Unlike the rich kids in my school who went on snow trips I have never ventured to the white slopes. I was very jealous of Joe when he went to France to go snowboarding with his work mates (See Switch).
My brother Damien had been teasing us about seeing snow around christmas and again last weekend, he also warned that it was supposed to come our way. Traditionaly London doesn't really see snow as the heat of the city melts it, but as we live a little out and my work is even futher I was hoping we might seem some. Well on Tuesday night I had to shoot down to the shops to get some milk, and as I walked out the door I saw a blanket of white all over the plants outside.
I ended up walking to the shops so I could walk through the falling snow. By the tine I got to the shops I had a nice layer of white over me, unfortunately the heating in the shop melted it all and it had stopped by the timne I lef the shop. Well the next morning it was cold and there was a little snow on the cars but none falling. I was a little disappointed that that's all I'd see. In the afternoon Wade (the other Aussie at work) pointed out it was snowing again, this time more heavily than before. So me and Gib-girl (Tania who's from Gibraltar) went out and started a snow ball fight. The fight ended shortly as neihter of us had put jacket hat or gloves on and were freezing after about 10 mins. Also Geoff the manager I don't think liked our use of work time. :)
The next day there was nothing even though it was predicted to be the heaviest so we didn't go to Chicago as we were going to as Clive thought that everyone's cars would be snowed in. So I thought it was all over but on friday morning it was all snowy again and much heavier than before, everything was covered. There was no snow in the afternoon but that was fine with me as we were moving furniture to the new building (we're expanding).
Well, now I've seen snow, I still would like enough to make a snowman though. :)
